System requirements
- macOS 15 (Sequoia) or later
- Apple Silicon, M1 or newer. Intel Macs are not supported
- 8 GB memory, 16 GB recommended for large sessions
- 1 GB free disk space, plus room for your projects and audio
- Any Core Audio interface, including your Mac's built-in output
Installing
Open the downloaded installer and follow it through. It puts Neutral Tracks in your Applications folder, installs Neutral EQ where every DAW looks for it, and registers the small background helper that keeps a crashing plugin from taking your session down with it.
The app and everything in it are signed and notarized by Apple, so macOS opens it without a warning.
First launch
Neutral Tracks scans the plugins you already own on first run. A few minutes if you have a large collection, and only once. Then it asks which audio device to use and opens an empty project. Your 30 days start the first time you open the app, not when you download it.
