Transfer your license

A license you bought is yours to give or sell to another person, whole. You offer it from your account page, they accept from theirs, and the license moves: they get a key of their own by email, and yours stops working. There is no fee, and nothing moves until they accept.

What you need

Your account: sign in at the account page with the email you bought with
The email address of the person receiving the license

Offer the license

Sign in to your account. If you signed in a while ago, the page asks you to sign in again first, because giving a license away needs a fresh proof that the account is yours.
Under the license, choose Transfer this license, enter their email address, and send the offer.
They get an email with a link that opens their account, where the offer waits under Transfers to you. The offer stands for a week; until they accept, your key keeps working and you can cancel from the same place.

When they accept

The license, and the record of the machines it has been on, becomes theirs.
They get the key email, the same one a purchase sends, with a key in their name.
Your key stops working, and the computers it was activated on are freed. Your own account keeps everything else.
You get an email saying the license has moved.

Which licenses can be transferred

A paid license, 30 days or more after its purchase, once the refund window has passed.
Not a trial, free, educational, or promotional license: there is nothing to sell.
Not a license whose payment is being disputed, or one that has been revoked or has expired.
One transfer at a time: while an offer is waiting, the license cannot be offered to anyone else.

Troubleshooting

The page says the license can’t be transferred yet: the purchase is less than 30 days old. The option appears when the refund window has passed.
They never got the email: ask them to check their spam folder, or cancel the offer and send it to the address they use. The offer email comes from notifications@mail.neutralsound.com.
You changed your mind: under the license, choose Cancel transfer while the offer is waiting. After they have accepted, the license is theirs; they can transfer it back to you the same way.
