Balance

The Balance view shows where the mix’s energy sits: three ranges, Low, Mid, and High, by three positions, Left, Centre, and Right. The loudest cell is named above the grid.

To compare against another mix, route it into the Analyzer’s sidechain input, then open Display:

• Capture measures your mix and the reference together over the time you let it run; Stop Capture ends it. The measurement runs inside the plugin, so it holds whether the window is open or not.
• Compare shows each cell as the difference between your mix and the reference, in decibels, warm where yours has more and cool where it has less. The largest difference is named above the grid.
• Clear Capture empties both measurements.

A balance that matches a reference you trust is a strong starting point for a mix that translates.
